How I spent my Quarantine

While the prices of lumber have gone up enough in 2021 to make me cringe at the $200 in lumber estimate, being stuck at home for long periods of time still made it worthwhile to tackle this project. I agree with the other reviewers, you'll want a few extra 8 foot 2x4's but in for a penny, in for a pound. I have not had any building experience other than a woodworking course back in 7th grade, (ie 25 years ago) but with youtube tutorials for everything under the sun, I was able to build this completely by myself over the course of about 2 weeks. (the 11 year old child helped me stand up the walls for framing but past that they haven't been much help.) My husband is disabled so this was just my own little pet project. I am thrilled with how it turned out and now I'm itching to try it again and learn from my mistakes this time around.

Great plans that are easy to modify

I spent 31 weekends building a treehouse/hotel/office/playhouse in 2020 with my 7-year old daughter. We had so much fun! I am an amateur woodworker and full-time working mom, but I learned a TON from this project. Paul's free plan was amazing because I was able to modify it to fit our needs. I added real windows and put the door on the short end of the house. I used clear/grey corrugated roofing which makes it magical. Thanks Paul!

Great but.

I give 5 stars. This will be great once done, 1 thing I wish was included or optional would have been a floor base. We made one and then made the playhouse on top. Excited to see the end result, did have to trip back to the store for more 2x4x10s just because it wasn't very good on explaining what size boards use for some of the cuts. Other than that very thankful for these plans would be very suck. Thank you!

Lumber count is not accurate

I've been looking over this from every angle I can think of.. The first frame page I had no problems creating out of 6 2x4x10s. The 2nd frame and the 4th frame are impossible to cut the given lumber asked without buying more lumber even when you are able to get a 5' 3" piece from the 3rd frame to use.

How did anyone that previously reviewed this at 5 stars build it without buying additional lumber???
