The Chesapeake Lighthouse Playhouse Plan brings classic nautical style and flexible sizing to your backyard in a charming, kid‑friendly design. Choose between two sizes: Standard (8 × 11 ft footprint) or Large (9 × 18 ft footprint). Both designs feature three stories of play space, generous wraparound decks, and up to sixteen window openings for natural light and sea‑breeze airflow. The larger version offers noticeably more room on the first level for play and storage, while both maintain the iconic lighthouse shape complete with lookout platform nearly 14 feet high and multiple trap doors for secret entrances and lively exploration.

Both lighthouses deliver a timeless playhouse that feels like a miniature coastal guide tower. The wraparound decks invite imagination that's perfect for children to man a pretend beacon or rescue station, and allow for adding playground accessories like slides or ropes on the lower level. With clear step-by-step plans and a nostalgic seaside aesthetic, the Chesapeake Lighthouse combines charm, function, and pure joy. Kids will delight in climbing the spiral staircases, peering out from countless bright windows, and spending sunny afternoons in their very own lighthouse of fun.

Chesapeake Lighthouse Plan

When my three daughters asked for a tree house in our new backyard I knew I was in trouble when I told them that we didn't have any trees suitable for that. I was relieved to find Paul's lighthouse design. It was a challenging build but took most of the worry about structure and design off of my plate. Building the lighthouse with my girls was a unique experience I will cherish forever. It was also interesting way to meet the new neighbors who would check on the process daily. Bravo Paul.
